The company:
You will join an international company based in Luxembourg where you will join the production team and will work onsite with a team of 8 System Engineers (led by a local Manager working for the company for more that 20 years). These Engineers are not particularly specialised on a specific topic, most of them are generalist but each of them has an affinity whether it's monitoring, Linux, Windows, or Storage etc. You will work daily and onsite with this team on local projects but you will also integrate a team of Storage Administrators (global team) and will work with them on global projects (this team also has their own Manager but he's not based in Luxembourg).
Your job as EMC Storage Administrator:
You will work either on operational duties but also on global & local projects. Next year they plan to move their Datacenter already based in Luxembourg. The Group also plan to make Luxembourg one of their four biggest datacenters in the World. You will also:
- Install, maintain and support the systems.
- Automate low-importance tasks.
- Implement changes to enable the applications' run.
- Manage the capacity planning.
- Analyse the cause of dysfunctional equipment, plan the investment of the solutions and implement them.
They are not looking for an Expert in Storage however if it is already a part of your current position and you would like to specialise in it, they would be interested in your profile. It is important to understand that they need a candidate who already have a minimum of experience in storage administration and specifically on the product they use: EMC (even though they are also using other products like HPE)
- You have a Bachelor in Computer Science
- You have minimum between 5 to 10 years of experience in Storage administration.
- You have a good knowledge in EMC
- You have experience using scripting languages.
- You are fluent in French and English (mandatory, as you will collaborate a lot with your colleagues based in France but also with colleagues who are not French speakers).
