- Working with autonomy under limited oversight on tasks and missions related to business development and the creation and management of partnership for RDI projects.
- Conducting sound market prospections to identify business opportunities and potential partners, evaluating feasibility and benefits of collaborations. Supporting and advising RDI teams to select suitable public and/or private partners according to projects’ goals.
- Coordinating discussions and negotiations to engage partnership collaborations. Developing and negotiating partnership agreements, including terms of collaboration, financial arrangements, and mutual expectations. Managing the processes to formalise them (e.g., contacting legal and administrative teams, following up the approval and signature of MOUs or collaboration contracts, etc.).
- Coordinating with other internal operational and research teams to ensure successful integration and execution of partnership initiatives. Working to maintain positive relationships between research groups and partners.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of all partnership activities, agreements, and communications for legal compliance and reference.
- Conducting specialised search and collecting market information to identify partnership opportunities and support fund sourcing efforts of RDI departments. Working with RDI teams to translate market information into potential RDI initiatives and/or match RDI assets and ongoing efforts to market needs.
- Communicating and negotiating with international partners and stakeholders under limited oversight.
- Contributing to the dissemination and promotion of the RDI activity by organising or participating in national/international events, industrial fairs, symposiums, etc. Presenting and promoting the RDI activity and assets in front of partners and stakeholders.
- Nurturing a European networking activity, including with representative stakeholders in the Domain of Built Environment, leveraging on existing initiatives of the LIST teams.
- Respecting and applying LIST’s Health-Safety-Environment rules, alerting of potential dangers or risks, taking care of your own safety and that of others.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sciences, or relevant Engineering fields (e.g., biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, molecular biology, agri-environmental science or engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Strong overview of the activity in the RDI field of Biotechnology, agri-environmental and Green Tech Innovation (Built and Industrial environment) and the public/private partnership network associated. Strong understanding of LIST’s RDI activity, and its innovation portfolio.
- Comprehensive overview and participation in industrial/social/institutional networks linked to the RDI activities in Biotechnology, Green Tech and/or agro-environmental sciences in Luxembourg and Europe.
- Strong view of the market needs and trends related to LIST’s RDI activities.
- Experience on the management and use of market information to transfer RDI activities.
- Strong knowledge of IP practices and its application to collaboration agreements.
- Deep understanding of the administrative/financial/legal procedures and documentation related to a partnership.
- Mastering project management skills.
- Sharp negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively across a wide range of diverse profiles.
- Proactive attitude combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Fluency in English and French, both oral and written. Other relevant languages are considered to be an asset.
