- Direct the Luxembourg branch in establishing and executing its strategy for client and market growth, with an emphasis on the Funds and Financial Investors sectors;
- Shape, promote and lead Luxembourg-based initiatives and campaigns for these client segments;
- Proactively identify emerging trends and opportunities across all Funds, Investment Management and Financial Investors sectors including Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt and Infrastructure;
- Supervise the effective pursuit of opportunities, ranging from from coaching lawyers to compiling practice credentials;
- Handle the creation of pitch documents and statements of credentials;
- Oversee the firm's public image and marketing communications efforts;
- Assist in enhancing the practice's visibility and developing a pipeline of opportunities for the broader firm;
- Leading league table and legal directory submissions (external overviews of our rankings compared to other law firms) to enhance our market standing;
- Take a leadership role in nurturing client relationships, leveraging extensive product knowledge to support Luxembourg-related client initiatives;
- Support the client listening program by conducting client feedback interviews to gather feedback from significant Financial investors on matters spearheaded by the Luxembourg office.
- An academic degree (bachelor or master) in a relevant field;
- At least seven years of proven experience in business development or practice management within a professional, financial services, or legal environment;
- Good knowledge of investment funds market including alternative strategies;
- Extensive expertise in strategic business planning, managing key accounts, and handling complex requests for proposals (RFPs);
- A proven ability to execute client outreach plans and initiatives within a professionals services firm;
- Understanding of a global law firm business areas covering both transactional and advisory;
- Experience across the full lifecycle of a pitch, panel pitch or capability statement request.
- Proficiency in English is essential, French and/or German considered as an asset.
- Excellent presentation skills, confident, resilient and focused;
- The capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team;
- Demonstrable initiative and a history of delivering high-quality work, both individually and through team efforts.
- Hands-on, with proven project management skills;
- An international outlook and an appreciation for diverse cultures, ideally supported by international work experience.
