We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine - in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and their contributing factors. - Design/maintain/improve reporting tools, cost models and procedures
- Co-develop and maintain financial databases and ensure availability of relevant and structured (financial) information in the database
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to support ad hoc reporting, requests, and projects
- Ensure financial transactions and reporting quality control
- Collect, interpret, analyse financial related data, and issue advice at request or at own initiative
- Coordinate and lead the consolidation of annual budgets and multi-year financial plans across departments or units
- Develop and maintain financial forecast models, incorporating updated assumptions, trends and strategic goals
- Monitor actual vs. forecasted performance and explain variances, working closely with budget holders
- Support on ad hoc requests for analysis and reporting
- Collect and analyse the income on external projects
- Update and maintain the SAP org unit structure
- University degree in the field of Economics, Business Management, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 7 years' experience in accounting/finance administration in the research context
- Experience with financial handling of third party funded projects is considered to be a strong asset
- Analytical skills combined with target orientated thinking and acting
- Computer literate, very good knowledge in Excel, Power BI, analysis and SAP is required
- Excellent command of English and fluent in French (spoken and written); German and/or Luxemburgish would be a strong asset
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multicultural environment. Able to involve relevant stakeholders in order to reach your goals (e.g. you will liaise with the financial controllers of all our faculties/centers)
- Self-starter and self-motivated, who takes own initiatives and has a high drive and motivation with a positive attitude
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage a number of requests and situation at one time and able to meet deadlines in a complex and fast changing environment
