- Install and oversee advanced computational software suites including compilers, scientific libraries, and research applications
- Configure and customize software frameworks to address both institutional and project-specific requirements
- Conduct comprehensive testing and performance benchmarking of emerging HPC and AI technologies
- Develop automation tools to streamline software deployment processes and enhance user accessibility
- Fine-tune and parallelize computational workflows for maximum efficiency on supercomputing systems
- Guide researchers in migrating and optimizing their computational codes for supercomputing platforms
- Provide expert consultation for national and pan-European research initiatives utilizing HPC resources
- Conduct educational workshops and participate in community outreach programs focused on HPC best practices
- Actively participate in collaborative research efforts including EPICURE, supported by EuroHPC funding:
- Identify computational bottlenecks, restructure algorithms, and facilitate performance improvements
- Organize technical seminars and foster collaboration among European HPC communities
- Dedicate approximately 50% of working time to project-related activities
- Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Computer Science, Computational Sciences, or equivalent technical field
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in HPC application development, performance tuning, and code migration
- Deep knowledge of parallel computing architectures, software ecosystems, and system middleware
- Background in HPC system administration; supercomputing center experience strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in English required; additional European language skills advantageous
