- Be accountable for all compliant bookkeeping (routine, complex and judgmental) and statutory and regulatory reporting and legal entity stewardship for the Luxembourg region
- Review of statutory accounts including Luxembourg parent consolidation
- Take on responsibility for integrity of the Luxembourg group financial reporting and recording in the ledger.
- Assess judgmental accounting issues and disclosures
- Be the key point of contact with external auditors and internal stakeholders (including tax, companies’ office, regulatory and statistical)
- Be the local lead for contributions to global system implementations & changes
- Process improvement projects and promoting best practice that can be shared globally.
- Identify and communicate on risk management issues.
- Be the subject matter expert for regional financial accounting matters.
- Provide support/back up to Regional Head of Finance re International finance issues/projects
- Be the local Treasury/Cash representative including ownership of loan relationships, assessment and coordination of repatriation planning and working capital funding from the Luxembourg function
- Responsible for in country tax compliance activities and risk management and Payroll activities
- Work closely with the Group FP&A team, providing insight and input into the results/estimate/budget for the specific office/region, along with the link to the Department Heads and Senior Managers
- Present to wider finance team on key issues, initiatives, development programs
- Coordinate risk reviews with internal audit and key local finance approver
- You posses a professional accounting accreditation and have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Qualified Accountant working in an accounting or audit firm
- You must have at least 2-3 years' experience in audit
- You must be fluent in both French and English
- You excel in consistently displaying strong leadership abilities, including a knack for identifying and nurturing talent
- You have experience of working with international teams
- You possess excellent technical accounting skills with a deep understanding of Lux GAAP and a strong foundation in IFRS - these skills are essential for success in this role
- You ideally have experience or a strong interest in the financial services or software sector.
