- PhD degree in Law on a topic of commercial law with a specialization in one of the following fields: Banking and Financial law or Company law or Insolvency Law
- The candidate must have a proven track record of (a) publications or papers in the publication process (e.g., R&Rs) in top law journals as well as (b) presentations at top law conferences
- The candidate shall show clear signs of continued productivity of highest quality research (e.g., a strong pipeline of working papers and work-in-progress projects) with good chances of publications in the top law journals
- The candidate shall have teaching experience, at the undergraduate as well as the graduate level, and in areas in commercial law in general, but also in more specialized fields such as Banking and Financial law / Company law / Insolvency Law
- The University of Luxembourg is set in a multilingual context. The person hired on this position must be proficient in French and English. The University encourages its staff to learn German and provides access to language courses to this end
