As an Associate Director, you will support the growth of our Infrastructure & Real Assets business and its Luxembourg platform through assuming various responsibilities for the Luxembourg AIFM as well as the management, and participation on the boards, of fund holding companies (SPVs).
You will have a strong understanding of a variety of functions as a result of your experience in the alternative investment fund industry across a fund's lifecycle - from the establishment of funds, implementation of investments and management of the Luxembourg investment holding companies - as well as the regulatory requirements of an AIFM and its managed AIFs.
This is a hands-on position that provides significant involvement in the operations of the AIFM and its investment structures with ongoing interaction with multiple specialist internal teams across legal, finance and tax activities, as well as management of external service providers.
Your responsibilities will require you to:
For AIFM/Regulated work
- Take responsibility for certain functions of the Luxembourg AIFM, and provide support on others, including oversight of branch offices, portfolio management delegation arrangements and monitoring, organisation and coordination of the conducting officers' monthly meeting and general management of the AIFM and its obligations
- Work in parallel with governance, legal, finance and tax teams in Luxembourg and other jurisdictions to ensure compliance with Luxembourg legal and tax requirements as well as Macquarie Group policies
- Support transaction execution for new funds and their investments, divestments and ongoing requirements, focusing on Luxembourg-related matters
- Act as a local Board member across MIRA's Luxembourg SPVs and act as chair for board meetings
- Act as one of the more senior members of the office, capable of high-level judgement and decision making, serving as an escalation point and providing Luxembourg-specific guidance from a business perspective
You will utilise your experience working in Luxembourg with Luxembourg fund structures and the AIFM regulations.
Your board experience and good understanding of key Luxembourg regulatory, legal and financial considerations for AIFs and their holding companies is key in this position.
You will be a collaborative individual who is able to work effectively across multiple teams, manage external service providers and be able to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlines.
You will be able to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, leadership, adaptability and resilience in a growing and dynamic environment.
Finally, you will be Degree educated and be fluent in English.
