Job DescriptionSenior Tax Accountant – BankingOur client is a leading corporate and investment bank based in the city centre. They seek to add a qualified Senior Tax Accountant to their internal finance team (NOT client accounting).Our client is profitable, stable and secure with a presence of about 100 people in Lux.The role involves the A-Z of the bank’s accounting function as part of a small team. You will work with the various areas in the investment bank (treasury; loan department; corporate teams; sales; M&A and trade finance divisions for example). You will lead the tax accounting, with a focus on transfer pricing tax, and look to continue specializing in this area. There are a number of interesting projects to get involved with and our client offers good career options. This is a meritocratic environment where your efforts are rewarded.In this role, some of your key responsibilities would include:

Support the general accounting function of the bank including preparation and review of annual accounts.
CSSF and BCL reporting (including STATEC returns).
Tax review of transfer pricing calculations (supported by Big 4) for the bank and the European branches.
Short form reporting in Lux GAAP and reconciliation to IFRS.
Co-ordination of the external and internal audit.
Support the improvement of the risk control framework.

To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:Finance qualification preferred.
3-5 years as a Financial Accountant in a bank in Luxembourg OR financial accounting and transfer pricing experience in Big 4 audit firm.
IFRS and LUX GAAP experience.
Tax experience and a desire to continue with tax accounting essential. Transfer pricing tax essential.
