Actuary (m/f/d)

Halian is looking for his client, an international insurance company based in Luxembourg, a Actuary for a permanent contractResponsabilities:

Sitting as a permanent member of the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Underwriting and Reserving Committee;
Determining reserves using appropriate methodologies, assumptions, and procedures;
Determining Solvency II technical provisions in line with Solvency II requirements;
Continuous evaluation of the appropriateness of the reinsurance program;
Parametrization of underwriting and reserving risk for the Company's capital modelling;
Providing actuarial inputs into Solvency II Pillar 3 reporting;
Providing budget loss ratios into the Company's business plans;
Familiar with pricing model/provide professional assistance to underwriting dept in insurance product design;
Supporting other functions (e.g. Risk function) with liability information and other relevant data and insights;
Assessing the sufficiency and quality of the data used in the calculation of provisions techniques;
Comparing best estimates to empirical observations;
Informing the administrative, management or control body of the reliability and character adequate calculation of technical provisions.

Education & Experience

Master's degree in Actuarial Studies or Insurance;
Actuarial-related professional certification is a must;
8+ years of experience in insurance actuarial roles, especially in the property insurance field;
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail;
Familiar with the actuarial processes for property insurance products;
Superior proficiency in actuarial systems and rich practices for various insurance types;
Familiar with Luembourg's regulatory and reporting schemes on non-life insurance;
Familiar with EU Solvency II regulations and reporting schemes;
