Reporting This position will report to the Head of the Collateral Management Department. Your responsibilities Specific responsibilities: Analysis, assessment, processing, verification of the documents and transaction structures of the credit transactions of the Bank, reconciliation of collateral positions, market prices update, registering of movements of the financed goods/assets, registering and management of the supporting documents (transport, storage documents), Participation to the preparation of credit facilities of the Bank, communication with [potential] customers and other teams in the Bank in that respect, setting up of new credit facilities in the information environment and systems of the Department, Coordination, communication, documents exchange with other relevant departments of the Bank with regard to approval, monitoring and control of the credit transactions of the Bank, in the scope of Collateral management, Handling of the documents of value (negotiable instruments, title documents) in coordination with the customers and other departments of the Bank, Monitoring of transports of the financed goods, Checks and analyses of the borrowing base reports and certificates, Analysis and maintenance of the commodities database in terms of markets, brands, pricing sources, storage and transport conditions, Regular communications with transport, logistics, and trading companies – counterparties of the customers; (warehouses, surveyor, forwarders, etc.), Review and input to the documentation processes with regard to insurances, communication with insurance companies and insurance brokers involved in the financing transactions of the Bank, Participation to task setting and strategic discussions on the development of the department’s and Bank’s systems, processes and procedures, Other tasks assigned by the Head of Collateral Management and Management Board, where relevant. General responsibilities as the Collateral Management team member: Efficient assessment and approval, subsequently monitoring of transactions to ensure they remain within agreed credit parameters as approved, Performance of checks and screenings of transports, market participants, transactions structures, (compliance-related and others), Administration, monitoring and control of required collateral, its valuation, presence, consistency and compliance of the supporting documents, including organisation of registration and storage of the supporting documents, maintenance of efficient communication with other departments of the Bank in connection with this functionality, Regular and ad hoc reporting, according to Bank’s procedures and decisions, on the collateral, maturity profiles, sub-limits, regional and commodities aspects of the credit transactions of the Bank to internal recipients, According to Bank’s procedures, provision of notifications and alerts in case of breaches and reports to the relevant departments of the Bank, Performance of margin calls to the customers when required, Providing timely and proper release instructions to warehouses / forwarders and information updates to relevant counter parties such as insurance companies, Entering and managing the information on the transactions into the IT systems of the Bank, Participation on case by case basis to site visits assessments, due diligence on warehouses/ports involved in the Bank’s transactions, Maintenance of databases market participants, (logistics, transport, insurance companies), involved in the financing transactions of the Bank. Your profile At least 5 years of professional experience in a lending section of a commercial bank (collateral management, middle office, loan administration, loans portfolio management) or in a trading/wholesale company in the related area, Teamwork-orientation, strong interpersonal skills, strong communications skills and experience in respect of internal communication as well as with external parties (customers and others), Desire to have challenging tasks, ride the changes, desire to learn constantly and apply modern approaches and technologies, Degree in, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT applied for finance, accounting, trading, banking or a related field, Understanding of business processes and controls in modern banking, including compliance checks and KYC and KYT; understanding of standard banking operations (payments, FX, treasury operations) – advanced knowledge of those is a clear advantage, Knowledge of trade and commodity finance products, principles and procedures, risks, customary documents relative to transport, storage, settlements (such as bills of lading, forwarders and warehouse certificates), including knowledge of the documentary operations (letters of credit, documentary collections etc.) as applied for commodity finance, Understanding and skills in commodities derivatives and hedging transactions is a clear advantage, Understanding and skills in cargo and transport insurance is a clear advantage, High level of PC literacy, understanding of banking reporting and systems, Experience with Eastern Europe, Caucasus, Former USSR markets is an advantage. Result orientation, creativity, Fluency in English. Russian language skills are an advantage, other language skills useful in international financing and trading is an advantage.
