We’re looking for people driven by excellence, excited about innovation, and looking to make a difference. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place!
Your Role
As the successful candidate, you will join the Security, Reasoning and Validation (SeRVal) group of the SnT, headed by Prof. Yves Le Traon. You will contribute more specifically to a partnership project with the foundation of Enovos Luxembourg S.A., the major energy supplier in Luxembourg. The topic of the project is “Incentivized charging scheduling for electrical vehicles” and it concerns the development of an EV charging scheduling system which is attractive to end users, fits into energy suppliers market strategies, and maximizes the benefits of all involved parties without overloading the energy grid infrastructure. The project involves (1) designing a decision-making system for optimizing EV charging scheduling, (2) build a proof-of-concept of a home energy management system focused on EV charging (i.e., a mobile app where users can introduce their EV charging requirements + the aforementioned decision system interfaced with charging wallboxes and the supplier’s information system). The project is held in close collaboration with the technical committee of the Enovos Foundation and, as the successful candidate, you will be expected to program prototype tools showcasing the practical benefits of your research outcomes.
