- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the technical services department, aligning with CHAMP's overall business objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the team and with other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Present the department to customers.
- Ensure the effective delivery of CHAMP's services to clients, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
- Sponsor and oversee technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Refine in-house datacentre and cloud strategy to optimize return on investment.
- Ensure IT landscape adheres to the agreed security and compliance standards.
- Provide third-party vendor operational oversight and management to ensure contracted services are delivered in accordance with agreed service levels and improvement opportunities are identified and implemented.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into the organization's technical strategy.
- Continue to develop and enhance quality assurance processes to drive improvements in the reliability of the services.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvements within the department.
- Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for the department, ensuring alignment to CHAMP's strategic objectives.
- Effectively negotiate supplier contracts.
- Monitor budget performance bringing variances back on track.
- Seek areas for efficiency improvements and cost control.
- Experience with the provision of in-house data-centres, cloud and hybrid environments.
- A thorough understanding of DevOps approaches and IT operations contribution to them.
- Experience in working with Architecture and Development teams to highlight cloud-native opportunities.
- A strong leadership presence with a positive and proactive leadership style.
- An ability to interact collaboratively with management, colleagues and staff to achieve the organisational targets.
- Strong customer-focus.
- Extensive knowledge of information technologies and their applications, operations, and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of best practices, established methodologies, and techniques for managing information technology projects.
- Fluency in spoken and written English; other languages are assets.
- Bachelor's Degree graduate in related field of study. Master's Degree in related field of study is appreciated
- Experience of at least 10 years in IT Operations and IT Services delivery within mission critical environments.
- Proven senior IT Management experience with minimum 5 years of leading senior position with line management responsibilities.
