That is why we are committed to growing and cultivating teams that include people with a variety of perspectives, people who provide unique lenses through which to view potential deals, support and run our business.Fund or Department DescriptionThe Carlyle Luxembourg platform is composed of three business segments: Global Credit, Real assets and Europe & US Buy-Out and Europe Technology, each led by specialized legal and finance professionals.The Treasury position operates across the full Luxembourg platform and collaborates closely with the AIFM platform and the business to support deal execution, investment management and ensure consistency across European and international investments and funds.Position SummaryThis role sits within Carlyle Luxembourg's fund management finance and legal teams, providing essential support to the European deal teams as well as the fund accounting team based in Washington DC. The successful candidate will assist the Treasury and Accounts Payable (AP) Lead and the Treasury AVP in overseeing all aspects of the treasury function across Carlyle's Luxembourg entities. This includes entities at both the fund and holding platform levels for various Carlyle strategies, Europe Corporate Private Equity, InternationalEnergy, Europe Real Estate, Renewables, Infrastructure, Global Credit and other fund platforms investing through Luxembourg.The role involves assisting the Treasury and AP Lead in various areas, including (i) the opening of bank accounts and maintaining relationships with commercial banks, (ii) ensuring that all treasury and cash management processes comply with Carlyle's internal standards, (iii) coordinating with legal and deal teams on engagement letters and SAP Ariba onboarding, (iv) handling invoice entry and processing as well as payment preparation (v) providing support during the year-end closing process and audits and (vi) work with the legal & accounting teams on the annual KYC refreshers with banks.Working under the supervision of the Treasury and AP Lead, the candidate will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires regular coordination with internal teams and stakeholders across Luxembourg, London and Washington DC. The role demands strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across departments and geographies. It is ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop within an international private equity environment.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities1. Bank account set-up & onboarding
  • Support the Luxembourg Treasury and AP Lead in setting up bank accounts for investment-level entities.
  • Prepare bank opening documentation and Multiline agreements.
  • Coordinate the processing and establishment of SWIFTnet connections.
  • Ensure timely and complete onboarding of all new bank accounts.
2. Coordination with internal & external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Partnership Accounting (PA) teams in Washington DC, local legal counsels, and banks.
  • Ensure proper set-up of Luxembourg fund entity accounts for new fund generations.
  • Integrate new accounts into Carlyle's global treasury processes and the Entity Life Management (ELM) system.
3. Luxembourg Accounts Payable (AP) cycle
  • Liaise with legal teams to ensure vendor engagement documentation is correctly input into SAP Ariba
  • Generate vendor requests and perform callbacks to confirm new vendor details.
  • Receive, review and verify invoices for compliance and accuracy.
  • Code, match, sort and process the invoices through to payment.
  • Obtain invoice approvals and follow up on unpaid items or supplier queries.
  • Prepare wires for invoice payments and deal transactions.
  • Liaise with banks to ensure timely payment execution and circulate SWIFT messages to relevant teams.
  • Maintain logs and enter balance account data; generate summary reports as needed.

QualificationsRequirementsEducation & Certificates
  • Bac+2 in Accounting / Finance or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Excel
  • Fluency in English is required, French and/or German is a plus
  • Experience with SAP Ariba, HazelTree and/or PeopleSoft is a plus
  • Familiarity with Multiline payment systems is an advantage
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a treasury, accounts payable, or a similar finance-related function
