- You will act as senior partner and advisor to help the organization comply with regulations, minimum standards and policies, with you being the main conduit of information received from the 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defense
- You and your team will drive business resilience, helping the business areas to understand, own and control their key risks and ensuring our processes are compliant by design
- You will monitor and manage a wide range of activities of a significant team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements by liaising with all internal risk management functions
- You will lead and mentor a team of experts, set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving them
- You will be responsible for driving the delivery of ING's Operational Resilience strategy
- You will ensure all processes are mapped and up-to-date with clear links to relevant controls, systems, and data
- You will create and maintain effective and efficient processes for detection and response to fraud and align the local to global anti-fraud strategy
- You oversee all sourcing arrangements and ensure their quality control (QC)
- You will make authoritative recommendations that have a significant impact on the business over the short and long term
- You will develop innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources
- You will coordinate the identification of key initiatives from your business partner areas and provide support, challenge and guidance on the key risks
- You will conduct regular analysis of data input and outputs by your business areas, providing a general risk effectiveness opinion of the business
- A minimum of 10-15 years in interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives with medium to long time frames
- Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long timeframes
- Proficient understanding of banking and bank processes, including identifying and evaluating key risks
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment
- Ability to coordinate, and report on risk issues
- Ability to stay up-to date on strategic and regulatory developments
- Strong skills to identify the areas of focus within the bank’s strategy
