We are part of WPP, the world's largest digital media agency, and manage WPP's European Center of Excellence for Amazon (ACE) dedicated to maximising performance, driving sales and building brands on the Amazon platform.The opportunity:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Lead for EMEA. This role is focused on delivering exceptional client service at the most senior levels while driving transformative growth across markets.As the primary senior contact for key clients, you will own the strategic vision, relationship development, and commercial growth agenda, working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver excellence. You will be at the forefront of building deeper and broader client engagements, advancing the adoption of new capabilities, and unlocking multi-market opportunities.Given the matrix style of Commerce, this role will act as a bridge between client leadership, commercial, and creative teams when developing our Marketplace and wider commerce capability. This role will be pivotal in shaping and delivering the vision for connected brands through VML, with a focus on capability building, collaboration, and market enablement to achieve transformative growth.What you'll be doing:Strategic Partnership & Growth Leadership:
  • Own and grow senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite and executive stakeholders.
  • Shape and lead long-term client growth strategies, ensuring alignment with both client objectives and VML's vision.
  • Drive multi-market growth by identifying and unlocking new opportunities across regions and service lines.
  • Partner with the WPP network to create market-leading, contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients.
  • Ensure strategic reporting and insight delivery, maintaining full ownership of the client reporting process and its quality.
Business Development & Senior Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Lead high-impact presentations and strategic discussions with senior client stakeholders, influencing decision-making and securing new investment.
  • Oversee and guide RFP responses, ensuring they reflect strategic insight and competitive advantage.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to internal stakeholders.
  • Champion the adoption of new capabilities and services within client organizations.
Market Enablement & Capability Building:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate creative, commercial, and marketplace expertise into client strategies.
  • Represent VML at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build visibility and relationships.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive insights to inform client strategies.
What we want from you:
  • Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Digital Commerce, or a closely related field. An advanced degree in Management, Strategy, or Digital Transformation is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven track record in achieving year-on-year growth through senior-level client engagement and strategic leadership.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and execution skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a knack for crafting compelling growth narratives.
  • Familiarity with the e-commerce ecosystem, including content and advertising expertise, is a plus.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; French and/or German are a plus.
