French to English Translator (m/f)

• Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language;
• Performing quality control reviews (including the assessment of appropriate firm terminology);
• Liaising with internal clients to discuss any unclear points;
• Copy editing and proofreading publications (e.g. presentations, press releases, articles and promotional literature);
• Retaining and developing specialist knowledge in specific areas of translation;
• Managing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external clients.

• You have a translation degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree) and you have at least two years’ experience in a similar position;
• You are a native speaker of English and your main source languages are French and German;
• You are a team player and you are used to working to tight deadlines;
• You have a good knowledge of SDL Trados or other computer-assisted-translation tools/software.
