
Calibration Engineer

- Multisite position (tire testing laboratory, proving ground - located in Luxembourg and France)
- Supervise and coordinate the calibration process of operational assets (accuracy and reliability for our testing equipment)
- Supervise all aspects related to metrology, calibration strategy, 17025 and non-17025 audits.
- Represent Product Performance insights dept for internal and external audits 17025, non-17025, type approval and any other regulatory body.
- Maintain IT metrology related systems and ensure compliance with regulatory and Goodyear standards.
- Program and maintain calibration procedures and work instructions in MET/Cal by being able to code autonomously all procedures.
- Evaluate the measurement uncertainty of measuring instruments.
- Maintain the asset management software (MET/Team) to comply with regulatory standards and be able to master all software coding autonomously.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement calibration schedules and procedures as per scope, including direct interaction with suppliers, procurement and operations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders (17025 & support functions) regarding calibration and measurement issues (incl. management of RCA analysis).
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new measurement equipment and technologies when being able to have a complete engineering understanding of equipment (with support from Test Engineering).
- Stay updated with 17025 requirements and related updates.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in calibration techniques and related masters.
- Contribute, comply with and follow-up of all Goodyear System requirements.
- Contribute to a safe working environment, comply with all safety requirements and instructions, contribute to JRA/OBT process (so being fully knowledgeable of machine directive and related ISO standards).
- Contribute to continuous improvement process (OFI - Kaizen).
- Backup APM engineer when requested (audit and calibration report approval).
- 3-5 years' experience in relevant environment, ideally automotive industry.
- Technical background in mechanical/electrical domain.
- Experience in metrology and 17025 related environment is an asset.
- Project management.
- Computer skills (basics in programming is an asset), Met/Track-Met/Team-Met/Cal.
- Knowledge in electrics/electronics, sensor systems.
- Knowledge in quality systems (IATF 16949), Metrology, ISO 17025.
- Strong communication skills.
