Location - LuxembourgDescriptionAs Finance Director for Apex Fund Services (AFS) Luxembourg, a regulated CSSF entity within Apex Group, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing regulatory returns, and driving financial strategy in alignment with local and group objectives. You will lead the Luxembourg-based finance function, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and timely reporting to both group leadership and regulatory bodies.Job specificationThe role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:Financial Reporting & ControlLead preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, financial KPIs, and internal reporting packsEnsure timely, accurate reporting of actual results, variance analysis, and full reconciliation of all balance sheet accountsMaintain strong governance over financial transactions and adherence to internal control policiesWorking Capital & Client InvoicingOversee client billing processes, ensuring timely invoicing and proactive cash collectionMonitor working capital performance against targets, escalating and addressing variances where necessaryDrive continuous improvement in cash flow and receivables managementTreasury & BankingManage treasury operations in line with Group policy, including oversight of bank accounts and monthly reconciliationsEnsure optimal use of excess cash and strong controls over all banking activitiesForecasting & Business PlanningPrepare annual budgets and business plans with strategic input from senior leadershipMaintain rolling P&L, cash flow, and working capital forecasts, ensuring accuracy and communication of key variancesIdentify and quantify emerging financial risks and opportunitiesRegulatory Reporting & ComplianceOversee timely and accurate regulatory submissions to the CSSF and other bodiesLiaise with Group and Divisional Finance teams to ensure local compliance with group standards and Luxembourg regulationsAudit & Financial ControlsLead external audit processes, ensuring efficient collaboration with auditors and timely resolution of queriesMaintain documented finance procedures and a robust internal control framework across AR/AP, payroll, and expense managementSafeguard assets and ensure compliance with authorisation policies and accounting standardsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentManage and develop the Luxembourg Finance team, ensuring appropriate resourcing, training, and succession planningFoster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvementCreate development plans for all team members and identify high-potential talentSkills Required:Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalentOver 6 years’ experience in senior finance roles, including financial control and leadership within regulated environmentsDeep understanding of Luxembourg GAAP, regulatory frameworks, and fund services operationsProven track record in working capital management, financial forecasting, and audit oversightStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsFluent in English; additional European languages are an assetExperienced in driving operational improvements and navigating change in fast-paced environmentsWhat you will get in return:A genuinely unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business;Competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience;Training and development opportunitiesAdditional information:We are an equal opportunity employer and ensure that no applicant is subject to less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, responsibilities for dependants, physical or mental disability.
