We're looking for an experienced individual to play a key role in developing and implementing semantic solutions, managing technical projects, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative projects that will shape how we manage and share data.As a Semantic Web Engineer, you will:
- Develop, implement and maintain semantic applications, ontologies, and linked data solutions using technologies like RDF, OWL, and SKOS.
- Utilize SPARQL to query, integrate, and extract valuable insights from semantic datasets.
- Ensure data is standardized and interoperable by following best practices for open data publishing and linked data principles.
- Work with tools for reference data management and making data available in machine-readable formats.
- Manage and deliver complex technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and resource constraints.
- Plan and prioritize tasks across multiple projects, effectively allocating resources to balance competing demands.
- Collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including public sector entities and private partners, to coordinate activities and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Create user-friendly guides, tutorials, and training materials to help both technical and non-technical audiences understand and use semantic technologies.
- Higher Education Degree in Informatics or related field and at least 4 years of professional experience.
- Deep expertise in Semantic Web technologies: in-depth understanding of RDF, OWL, and SKOS, hands-on experience implementing semantic applications, ontologies, and linked data solutions, with proficiency in SPARQL.
- Experience in Data Interoperability with proven ability to work with open data publishing, linked data principles, and data standardization.
- Technical project management and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams and organizations.
- Fluency in English (C1 level) and excellent communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with public sector entities, EU institutions, or private sector partners.
- A knack for creating user-friendly guides and training materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in planning and delivering training sessions on semantic technologies.
