As part of our continuous improvement and innovation efforts, we are developing an alternative low-pressure aluminum casting process for a new mold tooling. This new process is intended to replace the traditional molten metal pump casting method. We are seeking an engineering intern to support the validation of this new process's capability.Main missions:
- Identifying all influential process parameters (e.g., tooling temperature, cooling time, pressure, etc.);
- Defining acceptance criteria for produced parts, at various levels of detail (dimensional defects, surface defects, etc.);
- Designing a structured experimental plan based on a rigorous empirical approach;
- Evaluating the capability of the current equipment and tooling;
- Proposing data-driven technical and process improvements to enhance performance;
- Performing an initial economic assessment of the alternative process compared to the traditional method.
- Engineering student specializing in mechanical, materials, or industrial engineering, or a related field (4th or 5th year);
- Fluent in French and English. German is considered as an asset;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metallurgy, or quality control is appreciated;
